Heal Your Heart and Find Freedom part 2 of 4

In part one we found a healthy heart can face life's different situations and challenges with a outlook of faith, hope, and love.  A healthy heart lacks a negative outlook on life and is not filled with negative traits.  A healthy heart can walk in faith believing God is in control, with hope God is working out all things for good for those who love Him, and has love for others.

A wounded heart has negative traits such as – troubled spirit, grieved, sorrowful, depressed, hopelessness, discouraged, anger, hatred, doubt, prideful, abandoned, forsaken, hardened, jealous, bitter, etc.   That is not to say that a healthy heart does not at times grieve or have just cause for anger but it is not overtaken by hopelessness, hatred, jealousy, doubt, etc.  If you are overtaken by such negative traits you almost certainly have a wounded heart that needs healing to get these traits out!

First step in the process is to ask the Holy Spirit what is in my heart?  What needs healing?   God knows best and what to address first, second, and so on.

Often times when a spirit is afflicting us we can feel or sense it in some fashion in our heart or inner being.  Often times when our heart is healed we may feel a lifting, or loss or burden or freedom.  That is your heart or inner man sensing the release from spiritual affliction or oppression.  It feels like some type of energy or force lifting does it not?

The bible says in Ephesians 2:2 that the devil "works" against mankind to cause us to sin.  The Greek word translated as work is the same word translated as energy.  Therefore we find that the devil uses “active energy” against mankind to cause us to sin and our spirits can sense negative or evil spirits.

Have you not felt a force or energy luring or pushing you to do sin?  Have you ever felt release when forgiven or when set free from an addiction or some type of sin or emotional problem?

How about when someone does or says something that causes a negative thought or negative reaction to rise up inside of you.  A trigger if you will that causes an evil spirit or force or "energy" to sweep over you instead of the Holy Spirit leading you.  For example if you were verbally abused, labeled as stupid as a child by a parent and/or latter as an adult by your spouse, you may find yourself reacting in a very emotional way if someone might say in a light hearted way that something you did was stupid.  Such a comment would be the trigger that causes an evil spirit or force to cause you to speak and act in a way in which you normally never would.   Let us cut off or get rid of what receives and feeds this evil spirit!!!

The bible says you have the authority and the power to cast out afflicting oppressive demons!!!  There are specific prayers that address these types of problems and set people free.

I believe there are 8 specific areas to cover in prayer that will heal wounded hearts and set the devil running.  If all these areas are thoroughly covered I believe all oppression and demonic affliction will cease.  I will briefly mention the 8 areas at this point but will take time later to go into more detail for each area.  The 8 areas are as follows.

1. Generational Curses – Generational curses can be a source of heart wounds and feed negative energy (evil spirit) into that wound.  Curses from 3 or 4 generations back like great grand parents can keep flowing into our hearts and feeding us bad stuff.

  • 2. Soul Ties – Close bonded relationship one to another.  Spouse, parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, business partners, Employer, etc.  Energy or spiritual forces both positive and negative flow between people in close relationship.
  •

  • 3. Negative Beliefs; Negative Expectations; Negative Faith. - The bible teaches us that it will be done unto us according to our faith.  Negative beliefs or expectations work to manifest.
  • 4.  Inner Vows – With every belief you have, you also have a corresponding vow.  Ungodly beliefs have an ungodly inner vow.
  •

    5. Traumatic Pictures – Memories or pictures are worth a 1,000 words.  They are powerful in forming beliefs, vows, and convictions.

    6. Break Word Curses – Words have real power.  Words like faith work to manifest themselves.  Life and death are in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat its fruit.

    7. Case out or lose oneself from demons or evil spirits causing affliction and oppression or torment.

    8. The Spirit of Christ Jesus overcomes the spirit of sin and death.

Through prayer and inner healing we can dismantle or undo the works of the devil in our lives.  The devil has anchors or roots in most people through which he might have access to oppress and afflict us or use us to afflict others.  We can remove all of those roots and then be set free with lasting freedom.

Assume all 8 apply and go through all eight.  If one did not so what.  It is better you cover one that was not necessary than miss something that can heal you and set you free.  Through healing from Christ you will be radically transformed more and more into the image of Christ with a renewed mind.

In the next part we will take a look at how to stay healed and free once you have found true healing resulting in release and freedom from the devil before we actually look at how to achieve healing.

    Blessings
