Jesus promised that He is coming back to repay and that He will repay everyone according to their deeds. In Revelation 22 verse 12 He specifically said He comes quickly or suddenly, bringing His reward with Him to repay each one according to his deeds or works. He also said that anyone that does not hear and do the words He spoke will be judged by or against the words He spoke.
The Apostle John wrote that those who have come to know Jesus obey His commandments (1st John 2:3). From this statement of truth we can surmise among other things that John understood that Jesus will reward according to what we have and have not done based on the words He spoke. The Apostle Paul revealed to the Corinthian Church that each man’s work or deeds will be tested to see what sort or work it is. If any work remains on which a man built, he will receive a reward; and those whose work is not sound or good will suffer lose (1st Corinthians 3:12-15).
Be encouraged by the one who will soon reward and has all riches, glory, and majesty. Be ever mindful and thankful you know such a great and mighty King. If you do not know Jesus you must come to know Him today.
Jesus is a very great and rich King who wants to share His kingdom to all who will come to Him and follow Him. No one could begin to give the magnitude and greatness of the rewards He has in store for those who give up this world for His. The word says eye has not seen, ear has not heard, nor do men’s heart understand the things God has prepared for those who love Him. This speaks of great things in this age and of course the age to come.
Take the advice of Jesus and do not waste time storing up riches on earth that you can not take with you and are not eternal but store up treasures in heaven.
May the Lord bless your every effort put toward the work of the Lord.
